Okay, I’ll admit, I’m very picky when it comes to TV commercials. If it seems more or less gross or stupid, I hate it. I know I get a little extreme when it comes to commercials, my friends all laugh when I start commenting on them. However, there are some commercials out there that are truly terrible. Take this recent commercial for Boost Mobile:

Now, who on earth wants to buy a phone that’s advertised by a girl whose armpit hair is flowing back and hitting the guy in the mouth? That is just disgusting, and not at all appealing. Yes, people will be remembering the commercial, but are they going to buy the product?

On the other hand, I do not hate all commercials. Some companies do a good job at trying to be funny without being too stupid or gross. Take this Carmax commercial:

Personally, I absolutely love the possessed car one. It makes me laugh every single time. This is a good example of a commercial that people are likely to remember, but also demonstrates pretty well the point the company wants to make. I believe that people would be more likely to remember this type of commercial positively and possibly use the service.
